Welcome to the Lake Sawyer Hawks community forum! This is a place for members, guests, and anyone curious about the club to talk RC, share builds and photos, ask for help, and get to know one another. A few simple guidelines keep it friendly and useful for everyone — please give them a read. WHO CAN POST - Anyone can read the forum. No account needed. - To start a thread or reply, you need an account with a verified email. That includes non-members — if you're thinking about joining, you're welcome to introduce yourself and ask questions here. - Club members post freely. Category setup and moderation are handled by admins. BE GOOD TO EACH OTHER - Treat everyone with respect. Disagree about planes, props, and setups all you like — keep it about the topic, not the person. - No harassment, personal attacks, or hate speech. We're a mixed group of all ages and skill levels, so keep it clean and welcoming. - Everyone was a beginner once. Go easy on the new folks and the questions. STAY ON TOPIC - This forum is for RC flying and club matters: builds, gear, tips, events, field conditions, and general hangar talk. - Post in the category that fits best. Admins may move threads now and then to keep things tidy. SAFETY FIRST - Safe flying is what keeps our field open. Follow all AMA safety guidelines and club field rules every time you fly. - A current AMA membership is required to fly at our field — please keep yours up to date. - Don't post advice that encourages unsafe or careless operation (flying over people, ignoring altitude limits or field boundaries, frequency and pattern etiquette, etc.). - Field status and closures are posted on the site — always check before you head out. BUYING & SELLING - Have gear to sell or trade? Please use the Classifieds section rather than a forum thread — it's built for it, with photos and everything. - Keep the forum for discussion and questions. PHOTOS - Show off your builds and flights! You can attach up to 6 photos per post. - Only post images you took yourself or have the right to share. - Keep them relevant and appropriate for all ages. PRIVACY & SELF-PROMOTION - Don't share anyone's personal information (phone, address, email) without their okay. - No spam, and no commercial advertising that isn't related to the club or the hobby. MODERATION - Admins can edit, move, lock, or remove posts, and will step in when needed. - See something that crosses a line? Let an admin or club officer know rather than replying and adding fuel. - Locked threads are closed to new replies. If a post is removed by mistake, an admin can restore it.
